Dealing with ADHD

Hi Dr. Karen.
My name is Scott. I’ve lived with ADHD my entire life. I was diagnosed officially in October 2007 with the disorder. I went through the next 18 months following in a ''fog'' of sorts. I felt times when I was depressed and such. Recently, I read this one book, in which I began giving myself daily affirmations. I found the fog lifted from me. I love and accept myself completely with having ADHD.
As I feel like Rip Van Winkle, after awakening the proverbial 20 years later, I want to know how I can go about understanding the law of attraction in my life. I have read ''The Secret'' and have seen the video by the same title. I am reading all I can about the law of attraction.
I want to find that passion in my life of which I can make the most of my life. I believe the best years of my life are indeed ahead of me. At the same time, I live in the ''present moment''. I realize that there's a reason for everything in life, even when I do not understand why.
As I realize you have a busy schedule, I thank you for reading this and for taking the time to answer this (if you so choose to answer it).
Sincerely,
Scott Kramer

Dear Scott,
Congratulations on your successes! You are well on your way to mastery. It just takes a heck of a lot of practice. There are so many law of attraction and personal growth resources out there. My advice to you is just to keep learning. Keep reading. Listen to teleseminars from gurus who inspire you. Search out your favorite teachers online and get on their newsletters and blogs. Learn which ones you resonate with most and attend a course.
One teacher will lead you to others you will resonate with. Harnessing the law of attraction is a life-long journey that is filled with magic if you are open to it.
Understand that your journey to consciousness is what fuels your abilities to manifest your dreams. Expand your spiritual practice. Seek guidance from your intuition (there are courses on that too!). I enjoy courses from the Omega Institute (www.eomega.com).
Lastly, find a coach who lives their life the way you’d like to live yours. Choose one that is joyful, abundant, loving and wanting to give you their very best. Work with him or her one on one for the long term and watch your results soar. I know that I utterly enjoy coaching people like you who are awakening into their power!
I highly recommend my friend, Keith Leon, www.keithleon.com who is an amazing person and coach. He happens to have a great coaching deal going on right now. He is connected to most of the gurus from The Secret. Contact him for details on his coaching services.
Blessings,
The Secret Sage

I'm glad I stumbled on this post. I too, have recently been diagnosed with ADD - I'm 43 years old. I am very familiar with the Law of Attraction but I have been "out of practice" for many years. I allowed marriage, kids and work to distract me from my focus. I am now back on track .
I do think that there is something to be said for ADD and the Law of Attraction particularly as it relates to our ability to "hyper-focus". I'd be very interested in learning more about this.

Thanks for these comments.
