How do I use the law of attraction to manifest my dream career?

Dear Secret Sage,

I am currently seeking a career. The only problem is, I'm not sure of what I want to do. I do have the desires for what I'm looking for in a career. What do I need to do to manifest the career of my dreams? What process do I need to take?

Shelley

Dear Shelley,

You have what it takes to manifest your dream career! The first step is getting clear on what you want. I see that as your first "hurdle" so to speak. The rest is almost easy.

One of the reasons you may not know what you want to do is that you are focusing on career titles and not what you love to do. In other words, there is a huge difference between asking yourself if you want to be a nurse and asking your self what you love to do.

So to begin, write down (and you MUST write it down!) all the things you love to do, including anything recreational. What are your hobbies? What do you love to do that you can do all day and the time just flies? What do you do that would seem like "work" to other people, but you love it so much that you could do it for hours and feel like you just had "fun"?

For example, my brother loves anime movies (from Japan) and he loves searching the web so he's good with computers. He knows all about the best ways to watch movies at home and has a huge DVD collection. He is also a pretty good movie critic.

So what do you like to do?

Second thing you need to write down: What are you naturally talented at? What comes easily to you? Do you like numbers? Art? communicating with people? counseling? working with animals? computers?

If you get stuck on both these exercises, then you might need to start from the opposite side of the coin, which is to first write down what you DON'T like, in order to be clear on what you DO like to do.

The clearer you can be on what you resonate with, the easier it will be the harness the law of attraction to manifest your dream career.

Example: Instead of saying to the Universe, "I want to be a web designer", you will write: "I am in a dynamic business where I can use my computer and web skills to help people who need help in this area. I earn a six figure income and work about 25 hours a week. I also use my natural intuitive abilities to help my clients develop the best strategy to skyrocket their businesses and I get paid handsomely as a consultant."

See how the first statement "boxes" you into a job, whereas the second description opens it up so that the law of attraction can bring you a career that you can CREATE from scratch based on your own unique personality and strengths.

Blessings,
The Secret Sage
