| Dear Secret Sage, how can I use the Law of Attraction to lose weight? Sarah Dear Sarah, first of all, you need to remove the words "lose weight" from your mindset. If you must use the word "weight" at least use the term "weight releasing". Why? Well, when you lose something, what do you tend to want to do? You want to find it again! Even better would be the use of the words, "slim and healthy", "ideal weight", "ideal body shape" etc. What you think about you bring about, so if you are thinking "weight", you will bring about more weight! If you are thinking "lose weight" you will bring about more opportunities to "lose weight"! After you've changed your languaging, then what I'd like you to do it to stop looking on the scale. At least for now. Instead, focus on the image of how you want to look and how it would feel in your body. To help, you might want to put a nice new outfit hung up where you can see it everyday that you will fit into. Put up pictures of you at your ideal weight (if you have any) all over your house and if you don't have any, put up photos of women's bodies you admire. I did this once with a picture of a woman's abdominal area. I had no idea how I was going to manifest a nice set of abdominal muscles like that, but "what the heck" I thought and put it on my vision board. Soon after, my boyfriend bought a workout program. He challenged me to do it with him. At first I wasn't interested, but being competitive in my personality, I couldn't help myself and began doing the ABRIPPER X DVD with him. I wanted to show him that my Pilates background made it easier for me than for him. Ha! Long story short, I began developing those ABS I wanted afterall and had fun doing it! Although my abs are not "six pack" yet, they are very strong and I like how they look! The Universe works in mysterious ways. Be open to opportunities that come your way soon after you set your intention. When you see others who are slim, instead of being envious, practice admiring them and saying to yourself, "if they can be slim, so can I!" Make sure your emotions are aligned with what you want. If you want to be slim and healthy, admire and congratulate people who are! Rejoice in their success, knowing that soon, it will be yours too. Blessings, The Secret Sage |
